Day 2
So we guess all the great opening Partys kept most of the people away from the shows and showrooms as we heard. So we closed down at 8pm and took of to the "Eastpak" party at Tacheles.
Great idea from the Backpack company (haha) to invite different designers to lay their creative hands on a plane Backpack and creat something grad.
All income will go to the "Designers Against Aids" campaign.
Being at the "Edged Showroom" with our Friends Lena (Meshit), Nico (Nico Sutor) and Alisa (Zillmann) is great fun though.
So, day 2 has come! yay! excited!
What is on 2night? well a lot actually meet us at:
the Addidas Party
The Year Zero Exhibition at Wentrup Gallery
the broken hearts club
kiss kiss bang bang over and out :)

21er Haus
Yesterday we got invited to the opening for the opening of the new Museum of contemporary (AUSTRIAN) art.
The House21 was built during the 1950s by Karl Schwanzer.
From 1962 and 2001 the former "House 20" was used as a Museum of modern art in vienna.
1963 Wortuba (austrian sculpting artist) had his big retro perspective here. YAY! so much information.
Anyhow we find it is really important that austrian art gets pushed more and more. And up till now there was no platform like the House 21.
Showing art from the 1950 up to today. great! Just don`t forget that there are a lot of artists in front of your door!!
We can imagine that being the curator of such a House can be very challenging due to the fact the the House is actually ONE BIG OPEN SPACE and to create exhibitions there..puh! longs for a lot of creativity and real input into the house.
Seing and watching how the space of the house reacts to different art spaces being used and considering also the light(which we really thought could have been solved differently!) and the weather conditions. (becuase everything is out of Glas!)
Former known as the House 20 in the Arselnalstrasse 1 1030 Vienna has about 2275qm exhibition space.
Other than that the "Wortuba-foundation" and cinema and as of 2012 the Artothek will be moving in the Basement.
The current Exhibition "Schöne Aussichten" can be viewed until the 8th of January until

Installation with the red carpets by Marcus Geiger (not quite sure what to think of it, maybe a bit to "austrianflag" red)
haha the speech was really funny. prepare next time guys.
uhm... a cool light installation by some guy with a very south american sounding name...ups we forgot
Later then we saw that Marcus Geigers installation was wrapping the whole House 21... now thats cool! ;)

impressions from London. by Anna Spanlang
So we came back to Vienna on sunday, our flight left at 6 am so we had to be at Heathrow airport at 4:30
For our delight our sponsor LOOKK and Land Rover gave us the luxury of booking a taxi for us from our Hotel to the Airport :) thanx for that.
I think getting to the Airport at 3:30 am with the bus or underground would have been quite complicated ;)

Welcome to London
So our first evening in London yesterday was quite chill. We walked around in east London and checkt out a few shops here and there.
<<<< how cute of LOOKK ! they drew out logo on their flipchart! :)

Remembering how "Hipp" London is! All the "uuuhs and ahhs" when you look at the shop windows.
Mark still thinks "London is quite less then more, i guess i am just spoiled living in Vienna"
Anyhow 2day was our first day at the LOOKK Headquarters. Drinking Prosecco and discussing the next steps for the collection and choosing fabrics.
Cheers!
